At the 2014 Queensland Arabian Horse of the Year Show, INSPIRED emerged victorious as Champion Purebred Gelding Under Saddle. Later the same day competing against the Champions from the Purebred Stallion & Mare divisions, INSPIRED was sashed Queensland Champion Purebred Horse of the Year. At the United States National Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma, KAVALLE earned the title of US National Reserve Champion Three Year Old Stallion amongst strong competition from around the world. Exciting news from the World Equestrian Games in Normandy! MULAWA ANGELUS, an 11 year old gelding sired by Australian & Brazilian National Champion TS AL MALIK and out the invaluable Mulawa foundation mare M ANGELIQUE, competed under the flag of Thailand for owner Mr. Prutirat Rattanakul Serireongrith, with rider Wipawan Pawitayalarp in the saddle. At the finish, ANGELUS and Wipawan achieved an impressive Top 20 position in 14th place with a total riding time of 09:55:49.

Congratulations to HRH Prince Khaled bin Sultan bin AbdulAziz Al Saud on the success of KLASSICAL DREAM MI at the United Kingdom International Arabian Horse Show (UKIAHS) in Addington this weekend. Not only did DREAM score the highest marks amongst all the female entries at this all important ECAHO-rated A-show, she was named unanimous Champion Senior Mare from all five international judges. Best of luck to the entire Al Khalediah Team throughout the upcoming show seasons in Europe & the Middle East!

Our most enthusiastic congratulations to HRH Prince Abdullah bin Fahad Al Saud on the recent crowning of VALENTINO'S ANGEL MI as Canadian National Champion Mare! In a unanimous decision of five judges, VALENTINO'S ANGEL MI became the very first Australian-bred mare to earn the senior mare title of Canadian National Champion and one of the youngest ever at just one month shy of turning three years old. Thank you especially to Dr. Bruce McCrea for believing in ANGEL from the very beginning and for sharing her with the rest of the Arabian community worldwide at the elite level of competition. At the prestigious West Coast Cup in Belgium over the weekend, KLASSICAL DREAM MI was named Gold Champion Mare with Philippe Hosay. This was the second show for KLASSICAL DREAM MI, following her debut at Menton in June. Fresh from her arrival from North America by just four days, DREAM debuted in spectacular style by winning her class, defeating two former World Champions in the process. Congratulations are in order on multiple levels to Tegan Schmidt! For several months now, Tegan & her husband Aaron have been the proud owners of AJUSTINE MI, a beautiful daughter of Mulawa Aristocrat Mare AUDACIA and sired by international "Champion Maker" WH JUSTICE. Over the weekend, AJUSTINE captured the two most prestigious titles at the SAARABS Stars of the Future Show as Supreme Champion Purebred and Supreme Champion Youngstock Exhibit! Mulawa handler and head halter trainer Cameron Bonney was at the lead for both wins.

Mulawa Team Performance is proud to report excellent results from the Sydney CDI! On the final day of competition on Saturday 03 May, Katharine Farrell and her German-import Arabian Warmblood gelding LUXOR 118 finished a credible 5th place in the Grand Prix Freestyle with a score of 68.225%. The other Mulawa team of MI SIRTAINLY SIR & Kristian Akehurst finished atop the leader board in both the first and second rounds of the HHSA - NSW Young Horse Championships in the field of four year olds. Congratulations to both Katharine & Kristian on these important achievements!

DREAM will make her North American debut with Philippe Hosay for Al Khalediah at the Arabian Breeders World Cup in Las Vegas. Cheer her on as she dazzles the worldwide audience at one of the most important events on the international calendar.

The 2014 Australian National Championships are underway in Sydney! Day 1 returned excellent results for Mulawa-bred and owned horses, including Champion honours for FAMES PHANTOM MI in Arabian Gelding Under Saddle. Eight descendants of the late great MAGNUM FORTY FOUR earned National titles on Thursday. In the gelding competition on Thursday morning, Mulwa-bred horses won all three championships for new owners, including unanimous wins for both KRUSADE MI & ASTOR. Mulawa supersire KLASS achieved a clean sweep with his offspring - all five shown were named Australian Champion. Full brothers MAXIMILLIANO & MAXIMISE MI were named Champion & Reserve Champion Junior Colt, respectively and unprecedentedly.

Exciting news from the annual Equestrain NSW Awards Ceremony! The highest honour of the night was ABER HALLO 29 winning the award for Dressage Horse of the Year. Along with ABER HALLO's prestigious award, Julie, Katharine & Jane Farrell were honoured as Equestrian NSW Dressage Owners of the Year. With high calibre performance horses such as ABER HALLO 29, LUXOR 118 and FURSTIN FRIENDSHIP competing with Brett on their behalf, Julie, Jane & Katharine have been regulars at Dressage events across the state this past season.
