TS AL MALIK

Hello Barich ELS × BF Tiffany Select

1992 Grey Arabian Stallion

TS AL MALIK is unquestionably one of the most unique and important stallions that Mulawa has ever had the privilege to own.

Bred in Brazil, where he had been named unanimous National Junior Champion Stallion, TS AL MALIK was discovered at Midwest Training Center, while in preparation for the 1996 Scottsdale Show. Both Greg & Julie were immediately impressed – here was a stallion with size and substance, ideally conformed with wonderful scope, length of neck, smoothness and strength of design as well as with unmistakeable Arabian type, distinct aristocratic elegance and a commanding noble air. Before them was the Mulawa ideal – an impressively beautiful, functional and structurally correct athlete, with a generous dose of ethereal charisma – the quintessential ’look of eagles’. A quick perusal of his pedigree revealed the skilful combination of three of the most respected international programs – cornerstone breeding pillars Gainey, BruMarBa & Lasma – the perfect genotypic complementary outcross with an adequate dose of essential linebreeding through the foundation Polish stock. The Farrells knew that TS AL MALIK represented a once in a lifetime opportunity to advance breeding objectives in leaps and bounds – the decision was made to purchase TS AL MALIK prior to the end of the Scottsdale Show.

That decision would achieve for Mulawa the first international accolade for TS AL MALIK under Aussie ownership – 1996 Scottsdale Reserve Champion Stallion. While Greg & eventual stablemate FAME MAKER R were setting the ring on fire back home in Australia, TS AL MALIK continued to campaign in North America with David Boggs through early 1998. During that time, TS AL MALIK was named multi-Regional Champion, Buckeye Reserve Champion Stallion and twice US National Top Ten Stallion. His show ring endeavours continued in Australia with Greg at the lead, culminating in the two consecutive National Stud Show Championships and the ultimate honour of Australian (National) Champion Stallion.

MALIK, as he is affectionately know at home, has been an unqualified success in the breeding barn – his get have excelled brilliantly both in hand and under saddle. Blessed with their sire’s size, scope, substance, attitude and athleticism, the MAILK get have raised the standard at Mulawa to new heights. A testament to his value as a sire is the inclusion of two MALIK sons in the Mulawa breeding program – twice East Coast Champion PARKVIEW AUDACIOUS and the record-setting three-time Australian (National) Champion KLASS. Sadly, PARKVIEW AUDACIOUS was lost at a very young age, just as he was beginning to impact the future of the program with tremendous promise. Several of his exceptional daughters have achieved extensive success in the national show ring, and are now contributing superlative exotic type and refinement to the most recent Mulawa foal crops. KLASS has proven to be the supreme show horse and breeding horse of his generation, with an unprecedented list of accolades to his credit and several extraordinary get that have raised the international standard for Mulawa to its highest level of excellence.

The MALIK daughters have also proven themselves exceptional producers of type, structure and athleticism. His very first daughter, the late ON ANGELS WINGS (so named as she was the very first product of frozen semen ever conceived at Mulawa), is the dam of three of Australian Champion sons in both halter and performance.

Following his Australian Championships win in 2001, MALIK was retired from the show ring. After an intense career as a show horse, from his birthplace of Brazil, through the United States and finally to his home here at Mulawa in Australia, MALIK was given a well-deserved retirement in the lush spacious paddocks of Ambition. Very much the king of his domain and sentinel stallion of the farm, MALIK is always in clear view of the main residence and the perennial entertainer during the annual Open Day with his playful antics.
