National Stud Show Success | 2011

Despite the gloomy weather and steady drizzle on the first day of the 2011 National Stud Show at Horsley Park, the results for the Mulawa halter team were outstanding. With representatives in five of the six junior purebred championships, Team Mulawa was awarded four championship titles and two reserves. Mulawa Team Performance was equally successful in their debut. The ever talented team of MULAWA BRONZE WINGS & Daniella Dierks were victorious in the Jess Greenlagh Memorial Sash. Congratulations on a stellar start to the show season.

Day two at the National Stud Show returned more success for both the halter and performance teams. EVANNAH was named Reserve Junior Champion Anglo Arabian Filly for Alissa Johnson, while MULAWA BRONZE WINGS was sashed champion in the Arabian Bridle Path Hack for the stallions. In the Yearling Purebred Arabian Breeders Sweepstakes class, MAJESTA MI was victorious amongst a competitive field.

Day three resulted in a dual win for brothers MULAWA BRONZE WINGS and GOLD N WINGS in the Ridden Arabian Stallion Championship. Younger brother BRONZE took home champion with Daniella Dierks, with GOLD N WINGS sashed as reserve with owner Courtney Gibson. BRONZE continued his winning ways in the evening with a championship win in the Baskhaan Memorial Sash.

The final day at Nationals ended with spectacular results for both the halter and the performance teams. Mitchell Taft and ABSOLUTELY were named Champion Senior Gelding, Cameron Bonney & PARADA claimed the Reserve Senior Mare Championship and Andy Sellman & GUILIANO were named Senior Champion Stallion amongst an outstanding field of studs. This is GUILIANO's second National Stud Show title as he was named Supreme Junior Champion Colt in 2009.

Later in the afternoon, Team Performance took home two championships - OWENDALE LEMON TWIST was named first in Arabian Pony Mare or Gelding followed immediately by Champion Ridden Arabian Pony with Katharine Farrell. Kate & TWISTER took the competition to the Supreme Saddle Horse Championship with an excellent work-out in an spontaneous downpour. Despite this excellent effort, Kate finished behind the eventual Supreme Saddle Horse of the Show - MULAWA BRONE WINGS with Daniella Dierks. This victory was a spectacular finish to an undefeated National Stud Show for BRONZE & Daniella with five championships to their credit.
